Abstract Preparation Instructions

General Guidelines

  • All abstracts must be submitted in English - Times New Roman, with a font size of 12 and double spacing.
  • To ensure blinded review - no identifying features such as names of hospitals, medical colleges, clinics or places may be listed in the title or text of the abstract.
  • Do not include the names of authors and their affiliations in the abstract body.
  • There will be provision of entering author details and their affiliation(s) in the submission platform separately.
  • The material in the abstract must be original and not previously published.
  • The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to clearly indicate the nature of the study.
  • Abbreviations must not be used in the title.
  • The size of the abstract is limited to 300 words (excluding title).
  • The brand names or name of the manufacturers for any drug or equipment is strictly prohibited. Use generic name(s).
  • No references, graphs, figures or tables are needed with abstract submission.
  • Conflict of interest: Declaration of conflict of interest is mandatory.

Note

  • A presenting author must submit the abstract himself/ herself.
  • Decision of abstract evaluation will be communicated by e-mail to the submitting (presenting) author.
  • Prior registration to conference is mandatory to submit abstract.
  • Residents should submit bonafide certificate from Head of the department.
  • Presenting author can submit only TWO abstracts ( maximum one for award paper ).
  • Guidelines for presentation of papers/posters will be provided along with acceptance letter.
  • Abstracts not chosen for free paper/award paper presentation will automatically be converted to E-posters.
  • The scientific committee reserves the right to reject any abstract, if the abstract is not submitted as per the guidelines.
  • The decision of the scientific committee is final.

Abstract Structure

  • Original Research: Background, Aims & Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results, Limitations, Conclusion.
  • Case Report: A single case, fully worked up with novelty only will be considered under this category.
    Introduction, Description of the case , Discussion, Conclusion, Mention why the case is unique and worth presenting.
  • Case Series: Introduction, Description of Cases, Discussion, Conclusion.
